GREETINGS Living Hope Church,
I hope everyone is preparing for a great 4th of July celebration. Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays - not because we burn hundreds of dollars in fireworks, but because of what it represents.
As I think back over last weekend, I am really excited for the days ahead for our church. I have very exciting news that I will hopefully be able to share next week.
Last week we talked about having Dangerous Faith as related to the way we see money. We talked about how all of us are rich, and how God owns it all. We talked about the system that God put into place to make sure all the needs were taken care of in church. We read that Jesus told the rich young ruler He would love him no matter what he chose to do.
Dangerous Faith is not giving God leftovers, it’s putting God first. This is so clear all through the Bible. This weekend I noticed lots of people finding joy in giving. Hundreds of people took the 90 Day Challenge in which we will test God for 90 days to see if He won’t open up the gates of heaven and bless our lives.
Many of you did this in an economy when we have less money than other seasons. And truthfully, the time to involve God is when we need Him the most. The fact is that God does not need our money but we do need His blessings.

We joined the challenge! I was one of the "end of month" tithers, giving only what was left over. How selfish! At first glance, the 10% can seem like a big number, but if my 10% can help to bring one person home to God, then I will give my 10% 100 times over again and again and again . . . (Jennifer)
I am taking the lifetime challenge. I started attending LH regularly in November last year. My income was ZERO . . . ZIP . . . NOTHING. I was too sick to work and staying on our family farm. I wanted to tithe so badly I began giving away 10% of the food God was blessing us with. Within WEEKS I received the first child support payment I had seen in over 2 years, and this last week I was blessed with the opportunity to open a retail store in Spokane with my brother (PRAYING). I can't think of ANYTHING better to do with the gifts I am given. I am very richly blessed. (Karen)

Let's be a church of Dangerous Faith. A church that will risk everything we have to reach the next person. Since we have been in the mall, hundreds of people have found their way home to the God who loves them so much. So exciting!
There are lots of opportunities for connection this summer, so take advantage of those and please don't miss one installment of this series. We can become a church filled with people who have dangerous faith.
